We know how IMPORTANT an Onstage Tan is to capture that crown on competition day! That's why we use the most experienced tanning artists and craft a custom competition color tailored to your skin color and category EVERY TIME!
Competition tanning is not a one color fits all event, and at ONSTAGE BEAUTY, we help you achieve that Rich Mahogany Glow by Mixing a blend of Violet and Deep Mahogany so that your stage color turns out on point every time..not green, not to red, not orange..just the perfect shade of Stage-Ready Bronze.
WHAT MAKEs YOUR TAN DIFFERENT THAN A DARK SPRAY TAN?
GREAT QUESTION!
Our spray tan is DRASTICALLY DIFFERENT than a normal spray tan, even if you get multiple coats over several days.
The strength of our formula and concentration of DHA are what makes our tan different. When you are trying to achieve the deepest, darkest mahogany color for the stage..you run the risk of turning orange, chalky looking, too brown, or too red. We spray two coats of base color, with a top bronzing coat (or two) to achieve the perfect shade of stage ready mahogany.
WHAT IS THE TAN SCHEDULE?
Your appointment time is set by our staff and will be emailed out 3 weeks prior to the show.
Friday before show day (11am-10pm): We spray your base coats (1-2).
Saturday early morning-prejudging (4am-show time): Final bronzing coats are done.
Touch Up's: Happen all day until the end of the show.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to your appointment time to check in.
ABOUT MY TAN APPOINTMENT?
Bring clothing to wear after your tan is applied.
Expect to be at your appointment for 1 hour.
Bring remaining balance due (in CASH). Check your RECEIPT email for your balance due.

WHERE DOES TANNING TAKE PLACE?
Our staff does all tanning at the HOST HOTEL conference room.
All touch up's & show day bronzing coats are done either at the hotel or show venue.
is the process private?
VERY! All tanning & drying are done in private tents with our all female staff.
Men: we provide disposable thongs, or you may bring a sock.
HOW MANY COATS DO I GET?
The number of coats depends on your skin type, elasticity, moisture level, and current base tan level.
The DARKNESS also depends on the division you are in.
4 coats are included in the price of your tan. (2 base coats + 2 top coats)
If you request more coats, each additional coat is $40.
WHAT IF I NEED TOUCH-UPS?
Onsite tan touch-ups are included in our service all day.
We will be onsite all day providing touch-ups, glaze, bikini bite and help.
Please note: hair & makeup appointments are only done at your set appointment time.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
WOMEN: Silky robes and flip-flops are best for after your tan appointment.
MEN: Loose black cotton hoodies, sweatpants, and flip-flops are ideal.
HOW LONG WILL THE TAN LAST?
Your competition color will last all day. After showering, a natural looking tan typically lasts 2 weeks.
CAN I SHOWER AFTER MY TAN APPOINTMENT?
NO!
You can not shower until after the competition is over unless instructed by the Onstage Beauty staff.

KEYS TO A FLAWLESS TAN A WEEK PRIOR TO THE SHOW
The SECRET to a great tan is EXFOLIATION!
USE dry skin gloves once a day to remove any dead skin. You may purchase a dry skin brush or dry skin gloves.
If you have competed close to the show: use skin gloves twice a day to remove any existing tan.
Avoid getting sunburnt.
Stop using body lotion 5 days prior to the show.
Waxing: Get at least 5 days prior to the show! Existing wax residue can ruin a great tan!
Start using CASTILE TEA-TREE Soap (Tea-Tree naturally dries out your skin) and will leave no residue on your skin. We love Dr. Bronners.
Do not use DOVE soap the week of the show.
THE MORNING OF YOUR TAN APPOINTMENT
Shower at least an hour prior to your tan.
DO NOT wear deodorant to your tan appt.
Do not use any LOTIONS.
Exfoliate after your shower.
